Checklist
Pre-Season Baseline Testing Checklist
A field-tested checklist to take you from ‘we should baseline this year’ to ‘the data is in the dashboard.’
4 min read
Four weeks before the season
- Confirm roster from coaches and athletic director
- Identify new athletes who need first-time baselines
- Identify returning athletes due for re-baseline
- Schedule baseline windows with each team
- Send parent/guardian consent forms (or embed them in the baseline link)
One week before
- Create the baseline link(s) in the dashboard
- Send the link to the team group text or email
- Remind athletes to bring a charged phone and earbuds
- Identify a quiet testing space (locker room, classroom, or AT office)
Testing day
- Confirm every athlete has tapped the link and started
- Be available for questions but avoid proctoring (the platform handles scoring)
- Note any athlete who couldn’t complete a module and why
- Run practice or meetings in parallel — baselines do not require your full attention
Within 48 hours
- Review the dashboard for flagged or incomplete baselines
- Ask flagged athletes to retake if needed
- Export and archive a signed summary for district records if required
- Confirm every rostered athlete is covered before the first contact practice
In-season upkeep
- Baseline any new athlete who joins mid-season
- Re-baseline after any documented concussion once the athlete is cleared
- Keep the link accessible for make-up sessions
